Conroe Custom Home Builder
Monday, July 26th, 2010Conroe Home Builders
Monday, July 26th, 2010If you’re looking for a new home builder for your Conroe home, you’ll find that you have a lot of choices. A quick search reveals thousands of names. Some of these are well known larger spec builders, some are smaller companies I’ve never heard of. So, how do you choose?
The first thing you should so is visit a company’s website. While you must keep in mind that this is basically a sales letter for the company, a company’s website often reveals a few things. Is it professional? Does it look like they cared about the final result? If they didn’t, will they care more about the final result of building your home?
Talk to a Conroe real estate agent. Not only will a real estate agent have firsthand knowledge from working with clients who have built homes in the area, but they will also know which homes people have issues with when they’re trying to sell a home.
Talk to a Conroe home inspector. Again, they have inspected hundreds or thousands of homes. Which builders do they consistently find problems with? Avoid those builders.
Once you’ve narrowed your search to a few builders, make an appointment to meet the builder. Ask for references. As for addresses of homes they’ve built and drive by.
Building a home can be a great adventure, and a home builder can be a wonderful partner in that adventure. Put in a little time and effort and make sure the partner you pick is a good match for you.

Falls at Imperial Oaks– New Homes in Conroe
Tuesday, June 8th, 2010Even though it’s technically in Spring, I’m including Falls at Imperial Oaks since it’s zoned for Conroe ISD. And after watching this video, I’m putting it on my list of neighborhoods where I’d like to look at homes. The planned community is just south of Conroe, across I-45 from The Woodlands, so it would be a great place to live if you need to take the Hardy Toll Road into Houston for work.
Homes built by David Weekley and Lennar start at 1800 square feet and go all the way up to over 4000 square feet. Prices start in the 160s.
Take a look at the video, then go check out Falls at Imperial Oaks if you’re looking for a new home in Conroe.
